Q.1.What is the purpose of enacting the Consumer Protection Act?

Dear student,

The purpose behind enacting Consumer Protection Act was ;

1) to promote and to protect the rights of consumers such as protection against marketing of goods which are hazardous to life and property etc. 
2)  to provide speedy and simple redressal to consumer disputes
3) to protect the consumer against unfair trade practices.
