can a polyhedron have any no of faces???

What is the similarity between:

A) a prism and a cylinder

B) a pyramid and a cone?

@Abhijeet: Good attempt. Keep it up!

@Pia Menezes: Good to know that you got your answer.

1.)A polyhedron's faces can be calculated from the following formula. According to Euler's Formula: V + F - E = 2. We know that a polyhedron has six faces.

Similarities:-

a.A prism and a cylinder have the same shapes at their base.

b.Both cone and pyramid have a bottom surface (base) and a height

Both have a volume of 1/3 the area of the base times the height

Both have cross sections parallel to the base that are congruent to each other (all parallel sections are congruent to each other)
Both have a "point" where the the area of the cross section vanishes to 0
