Can 1 M NiSO4be stored in a vessel made up of copper?given: E(Ni2+/Ni ) = -1.20V and E (Cu2+/Cu) =0.34V

My doubt is (if wrong plz correct it) according to reation Ni I Ni+2 II Cu+2 I Cu ,this reaction will occur spontaneously,Then how could NiSO4 be stored in vessel made up of copper?It should react with it.Please explain And Sir plz don't paste the answer given to Priyanka as I couldn't understand that one.

To store NiSO4 in Cu vessel, first we need to determine whether the reaction takes place or not.
NiSO4 + Cu  CuSO4 + Ni
or
Ni2+ + Cu  Cu2+ + Ni

The representation of cell is as follows:
Cu | Cu2+ || Ni2+|Ni

Ecell = Ecathode - Eanode
Ecell = - 1.20 - (0.34)
Ecell = -1.54 V

Since Ecell is negative, reaction will not take place, so we can kept 1M NiSO4 in copper vessel.
