It is clearly stated in the book that as far as possible, length of X-axis on the graph paper should be one and half times the length of Y-axis. They are basically talking about the length of the X-axis, not the values or the scale on the X-axis (as you stated in your previous query). The rule stated above is something which is desirable for a near and legible graphical representation of the data. However, it is not a necessary condition. In case your teacher has asked to do so, then you may proceed with the same.
