Brain drain refers to the migration of skilled and educated manpower from rural to urban area and from domestic to foreign country. Brain drain occurs because individual finds better job and growth opportunities outside the country. From an individual perspective it is beneficial as it helps him to grow economically, but for an economy it is a serious issue. Brain drain results in migration of skilled and educated manpower from our country which would have contributed to the growth of national output of an economy.It is an economic loss of a country in terms of loss of quality people.
