- Equity is a quality of being fair and impartial to every human being, this is called equity of treatment.
- As a political ideal the concept of equity invokes the idea that all human beings regardless of their colour, gender, race or nationality are equal. It maintains that human beings deserve equal consideration and respect because of their common humanity.
