Are bacteria named with their shape?For example,for bacillus-lactobacillus.If yes, explain?

Bacteria can be divided into four types, based on their shapes:

1. Coccus or spherical bacteria, e.g., Pneumococcus
2. Vibrio or comma-shaped bacteria, e.g.,  Vibrio cholerae
3. Bacillus or rod-shaped bacteria, e.g.,  Lactobacillus
4. Spiral shaped bacteria, e.g., Spirillum.
