According to the question:

a + b + c + d = 45

Also,

a + 2 = b - 2 = c × 2 = d ÷2 = k

(where k is a constant)

So, a = k - 2

b = k + 2

c = k ÷ 2

d = 2 × k

Hence,

(k - 2) + (k + 2) + (k ÷ 2) + (2 × k) = 45

4k + ( k ÷ 2 ) = 45

9k ÷ 2 = 45
9k = 90

k = 10

Therefore,

a = 8, b = 12, c = 5, d = 20
