The poem ' The Road Not Taken' is one of the most popular poems by Robert Frost. The speaker is standing in the intersection of two roads where he can only chose one. The speaker is uncertain about which road to take as both ways are described as equally worn out and overlaid with un-trodden leaves, so he chose the one which had a little grass on it. This means that it was less used by the travellers than the other one. From these lines we can figure out that the speaker is a kind of person who doesn't believe in following the crowd but instead, wants to make his own way in the world. After walking some distance, he realised that both the roads have been worn out the same way. The speaker then decided that he would save the different path for some other day but he also knows that he has already made a choice in his life and there's no going back. The speaker admits that he will recall the story of the fork in the path with nostalgia, perhaps in wondering where life would have taken him had he made other choices. The poem tries to give us a message that in one's life, there comes a time when we have to make a choice because the decision can decide the course of our future. The decision can be a tough one but we should always act wisely so that; like the poet, we too can look back and say-
