Angle made by an hour hand in 60 minutes or in an hour = (360 degree/12) = 30 degrees  so angle made by the hour hand in 20 minutes = (30/60)*20 = 10 degrees.

The minute hand travels 360 degree in an hour or in 60 minutes. If you would imagine the position of the hands at 7:20 you would see dat dere would be a difference of 5, 6 and number 7.

So it makes 15 minutes. The angle between 7 and 4 = (360/60)*15 = 90 degree.

Now the minute hand has already gone 10 degrees past 7 as 20 minutes have past.

Hence the deifference between them would be 10+90 = 100 degrees.
