Amoeba is divided by binary fission in which a parent cell produces two equally half daughter cells and each daughter cell grows into an adult. There is no natural death in these organisms. There is no remains of parent body cell and parent cannot be said to have died. In fact, after binary fission parent starts living as two daughter cells. That is why, Amoeba is considered as immortal.

amoeba can be said immortal becoz the organism showing binary fission seldom  [never ] die of senesence or old age becoz as soon as they mature , they divide into two daughter cells. they are therefore nearly immortal.

Many single celled organisms reproduce by binary fission, where a cell divides into two halves and each rapidly grows into an adult. There is no natural death to organisms which undergo binary fission. There is no remains of parent body cell and parent cannot be said to have died. In fact, after binary fission parent continues to live as two daughter individuals. That is why, they are said to be immortal
