Dr. Rajendra Prasad was the President of Constituent assembly and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar  was the Chairman of the drafting committee.  At the time of independence of India, the country was facing many challenges like various communal disputes, linguistic problems, variations in religions and varied cultures. Moreover, the partition of country into India and Pakistan was also predominant. Also, the colonial rule has created violent turmoil in socio-economic situation of the country. Hence, before framing of Constitution of India, a drafting committee was essential to set up that included the members of Constituent Assembly who kept these ideals in their mind while framing the Indian Constitution with preserving the diversity and national unity.
