a. The formation of  USA, can be attributed to American war of Independence, which was a struggle by 13 American colonies against the British rule in 1775.
b. These colonies declared their independence in the year 1776.
c. The war of Independence marked the birth of USA and a new constitution,  with George Washington as the President under the new constitution.
d. It brought about the existence of  democratically  elected government.  
e. It also brought about federal system of governance.  
f. The most important legacy of the American war of Independence was the US Bill of rights which recognised certain natural  and inalienable rights of a man, including right to life, liberty and property.  
g. American revolution was certainly an inspiration to many colonies to rebel and fight for self government and nationhood.

dawn and origin  of American democracy didn’t come in 1776, with the Declaration of Independence as Harry Rubenstein, chair and curator of the Division of Political History at the American History Museum, states that the real birth of American democracy took place when  its noble ideals were actually put to the test
