a source of sound produces 20 compressions and 20 rarefractions in 0.2 seconds.the distance between a compression and rarefaction is 50cm . find the wavelength,frequency and time period of the wave.

please do answer it fast cuz tommorow is my finals.

As Wavelength is the distance between tow consecutive compression or rarefraction.

Wavelength = 50 x 2 = 100 cm

Frequency of a wave is the number of waves produced in 1 second.

So, frequency = 20/0.2

f = 100 Hz

Frequency = 1/time period

T= 1/f

T = 1/100 = 0.01 sec

Wavelength- It is the distance between a compression and an adjacent rarefraction.so Wavelength is 50cm.

Frequency = Frequency of a wave is the no. of waves produced in 1 second.

So frequency = 20/0.2

= 100

Time period = The time required to produce one complete wave is called time-period od the wave.

Frequency = 1/time period

100 = 1/time period

100 time period = 1

Time period = 1/100

=0.01 sec
