A copper sulphate solution contains 1.595% of CuSO4 by weight.its density is 1.2g/ml,what will be its molarity?
Weight of solute = 1.595 gm = 0.01 mole [Mol. Wt of CuSO4 =159.5]
Weight of Solution = 100 gm
Density = Mass / Volume
Convert Wt. of solution from gram to ml = 100/ 1.2
= 83.33ml = 0.0833 L
Molarity = = 0.01/0.0833
Putting the parameter in above formula, the molarity of solution is 0.12M.
