A 50 litre solution of acid and water contains 10 litre of acid.

How much water must be added to make the solution 8% acidic.

volume of acid will remain same as it is not added.

let total volume of liquid formed after adding water be x then,

 8%  of x =10

x = (10 X100)/ 8

x = 125

hence total volume of solution = 125 , out of which 10 litre is acid 

so water in the solution = 115 litre 

water to be added = 115 - 50 = 65 litre
