A.3 Classify industries on the basis of capital investment.

SOLUTION:

On the basis of capital investments i​​​​​​ndustries can be classified as-

1. Small-scale industries- They are defined with reference to the amount of investment made on the assets of a unit. At this moment  the limit is Rs.1crore.Therefore, the industries who invest less than 1 crore are small-scale industries. For Example: Industries that make papad, power loom, etc. 
2. Large-scale industries- The industries who invest more than 1 crore on the assets are large scale industries. For Example: cotton or jute textile industries are large scale industries.
