Length of 24 dictionaries=57 6 cm
Using unitary method
Length of 1 dictionary= 57 6/24=2 4 cm
Length of 40 dictionaries= 2 4 x 40=96cm=96/100 m=0 96 m
because 1m= 100 cm so 1 cm=1/100 m
As 0 96m>0 8m
so 0 8 m shelf will not be enough to accomodate 40 copies of
dictionary
