Since 2 men can harvest the field in 7 days . One man can reap (1/2*7)= (1/14)th field a day.
Since 3 women can harvest the field in 7 days . One women can reap (1/3*7) = (1/21)th field a day .
Now we have 1 men and 2 women working . So, the total number of days taken would be the reciprocal of:
1*(1/14)+2*(1/21) = 7/42 = 1/6
Therefore 1 men and 2 women harvest the same field in 6 days.
